Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson™ Collection proudly presents the Les Paul™ Standard 50s in iconic Goldtop finish. This model faithfully recreates the look, feel, and unmistakable tone of the golden-era 1950s Les Paul Standards that helped define rock and blues. The classic combination of a mahogany body with a carved maple top is finished in a rich metallic gold that catches the light just like the originals did in 1952. A bound mahogany neck wearing the authentic ’59 Rounded Medium C profile joins the body via a long neck tenon for enhanced sustain and resonance. The laurel fingerboard is adorned with timeless pearloid trapezoid inlays, and the headstock carries the historic Kalamazoo shape with Epiphone logo in mother-of-pearl and “Les Paul Model” silkscreen in gold.
At the heart of the guitar are two Epiphone ProBucker™ humbuckers (ProBucker 1 at the neck, ProBucker 2 at the bridge) that deliver warm PAF-style tone with outstanding clarity and vintage character. Wired through CTS® potentiometers using 1950s-style circuitry, the traditional control layout of two volumes and two tones gives you complete command over thick rhythm crunch and singing lead tones. Premium appointments include a Graph Tech® nut, Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners with ivory buttons, a LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece in nickel, and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. A premium gig bag is included.
